University of Hull Runs Sixth Form Drama Workshop

A group of Year 12 and Year 13 students were invited to take part in a Drama workshop, hosted by Dr Lucy Fielding – a member of the University of Hull Drama department.

The students participated in a performance and workshop of the play ‘Safer’, written by Dr Sarah Jane Dickenson. The play is based on personal experiences of players of Hull Roundhead Rugby Club and is aimed at promoting positive attitudes towards equality, diversity and inclusion specifically linked to LGBTQA+ communities. The play is touring schools, colleges, sports clubs and fringe venues, in addition to developing a teacher training strand of the project with the Education Department at Hull.

Thank you to Dr Lucy Fielding for coming along.
