A Triumph for South Hunsley School: 3rd Place in National School Sport Rankings
We are thrilled to share the exciting news that South Hunsley School has secured 3rd place in the School Sport Magazine Top 200 List for best sporting state school in the UK.
This signifies an impressive leap from our 6th place standing last year, showcasing our continued commitment to sporting excellence and the personal development of our pupils.
Over the past year our PE Department have dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to the pursuit of sporting greatness, resulting in a listing of 15th place overall and 3rd place for state schools. Our school community including teaching staff, pupils and associates collaborated to invest time and effort into strengthening our sporting culture.
Our climb in the rankings is partially attributed to how many different sporting disciplines we offer at South Hunsley. From team sports like football, rugby, and netball to individual pursuits such as athletics, swimming, and gymnastics, we offer opportunities for pupils to explore and excel in their preferred sports. Through this inclusive approach we hope to ensure a comprehensive sporting education for all.
The news of our 3rd place ranking in the School Sport Magazine Top 200 List is not only a cause for celebration but also a source of inspiration for current and future pupils. Following the sad loss of a beloved member of our PE Department last year, this achievement serves as a reminder of his enduring legacy within the school for which we will remember fondly.
