Throughout lockdown it has been incredible to see so many students continue their hobbies and commitments outside of school.
A good example of this was demonstrated by Year 7 student, India T-H, who committed time after school and at weekends to participate in online dance lessons via Zoom. India would usually attend the Northern Ballet in Leeds every weekend, however due to restrictions all lessons had to take place virtually. As a result of India’s hard work and determination throughout lockdown, she has successfully maintained her position as a member of the Northern Ballet in Leeds for the third year running. India has also maintained her place at the Midlands Associates programme in Newark with Shannon and Peter Parker for the fifth year.
Mr Williman congratulated India on her recent achievements, “India has shown great determination and resilience during what has been an extraordinary year. She is to be commended for having done so, and for maintaining such a high level of performance throughout lockdown”.
We are proud of India’s achievements and hope she can continue dancing in face-to-face lessons again soon. Congratulations India, keep up the great work.
