The annual Year 11 Prom was held on the evening of Friday 30 June at Lazaats Hotel in Cottingham, whereby over 300 students and staff from South Hunsley gathered to celebrate the end of the secondary school years and mark the completion of their GCSE exams.
Dressed in their finest attire, the students arrived to the venue to meet with their friends in the hospitality suite decorated with round tables, balloons, sweet bags and even an inflatable photo booth.
The evening commenced with a sit down three-course meal as the students chatted before the coveted awards ceremony took place at the front of the room.
Mr Duerden and Mrs Trainor took to the microphone to award the winning students in the following categories:
- No Written Warnings Award
- Top House Points Award
- House Awards
- 100% Attendance Award (1 Year)
- 100% Attendance Award (5 Years)
- Marie France-Payre Award
- Keith Chisholm Award
After all awards had been accounted for, the students and staff were treated to a raffle with prizes including Amazon and Pizza Express vouchers, speakers, sweet hampers, beauty gift bags, Odeon gift cards and many more!
The evening continued with music and dancing until the late hours, a fantastic send off for all our Year 11 students until we see them again on results day in August.
