Admission to South Hunsley Sixth Form

Every year we welcome around 230-250 new students into our Sixth Form. 

Applications should be submitted by the end of December 2024 and after this date we start to assign students to courses and organise timetables.  We will accept late applications right up until the start of September, but you may find that there is less choice available if subjects are already full.

If we receive more applications than places, we will allocate using the same criteria as the secondary school though we will include siblings in Years 11 and 12 as part of the third criterion.

South Hunsley Year 11 Students

If you are currently studying at South Hunsley School and would like to apply to the Sixth Form, you should see Mr P Jacobs or Mr P White.

Sixth Form Induction Taster Sessions

Our Inductions take place in July for prospective applicants to get a taster for Sixth Form lessons.

Enrolment

Enrolment for all pupils takes place on GCSE results day in our Sixth Form Centre at South Hunsley.

South Hunsley Year 11 Students

For students who have made their subject choices, after collection of GCSE results, fast track enrolment will take place from 9.00am in the Sixth Form Common Room. Any student with changes to their choices will be enrolled from 11.00am onwards.

External Applicants

External Sixth Form applicants will enrol between 9.00am and 1.00pm in the Hunsley Suite.
