Year 9 Options Evening

Year 9 pupils and their families were invited along to our annual Year 9 Options Evening event held in The Space and The Hub.

Attendees were given the opportunity to speak with teachers and subject leaders to learn more about the courses on offer for GCSEs. Pupils are able to choose 4 subjects including a language and a humanity course. The Space held over 30 stands for pupils to visit and the attendance on the evening was very high and at many stands there were examples of pupils’ work or goodies (including cookies on the Food Preparation and Nutrition stand!)

As well as the subject stands, two consecutive talks were held in Riding Hall. Mrs Savory and Ms Blackledge gave an overview of the Key Stage 4 experience and provided key information for parents/carers with the opportunity to ask any questions following the presentation.

In The Hub we had a number of external visitors alongside our SEND, Industry-Led Curriculum and Careers stands, including BAE Systems, Hull College, NHS, SKILLS Training and many more. These organisations were on hand to speak with attendees about alternative options after education.

Thank you to all who gave their time to join us on the night, including staff and external organisations.
