Throughout the spring term, Luke H has worked exceptionally hard to support our local community through a variety of activities. Luke used his spare time to participate in a variety of school led community projects, as well as independent work in aid of local organisations.
Luke is a member of the South Hunsley’s Eco-Committee and regularly participates in environmental projects. Recently, he volunteered to support the “Big School Clean Up” project, which involved litter picking across the school site after school hours.
Luke has also worked hard to support his House partner care home, Brough Manor Care Home. He made an Easter hamper, which included a handmade wooden carved decorative display of his form group number, as well as Easter treats for the residents to enjoy. Luke also made captain armbands in Ukraine colours, in support of the Humanitarian Ukraine Crisis Appeal, for their chosen form captains to wear during Interform.
Draco House Leader and Head of House, Mrs Bidder and Miss Brady, explained how proud they were of Luke’s work, “Luke goes above and beyond in so many aspects of school life. Luke is a credit to Draco House and his efforts to help others are outstanding”.
Mr Williman also congratulated Luke, “Well done Luke for all your work in supporting various community projects and helping to improve the lives of those who need it most”.
