A group of ten people ran the Great North Run to represent Team Hunsley on Sunday 10 September, raising money for The Sick Children’s Trust Eckersley House.
Team Hunsley joined around 60,000 other runners to take the route from Newcastle to South Shields, amounting to 13.1 miles in total.
Their fundraising efforts raised an incredible £5,586.47 for Eckersley House, a home-from-home run by the Sick Children’s Trust to provide families with a place to stay while their child is in hospital. The charity is close to our hearts as a school, following the sad loss of pupil Mason last year whose family were supported by the Sicks Children’s Trust.
We are so proud of Team Hunsley for taking on the half marathon challenge for such an important cause.
