Year 10 DofE Students Help Local Volunteers for Brough In Bloom

A team of Year 10 DofE students have been busy helping local volunteers to keep our town looking its best for Brough In Bloom.

Over the Winter months, 8 students joined forces with Brough In Bloom to assist them with many jobs such as planting trees, tending to verges, creating and arranging flower beds as well as maintaining boarders and bus shelters.

Their hard work did not go unnoticed, picked up on by a staff member at Morrisons who wanted to show her appreciation for the work they have done in the community with some chocolates. Coleen Gill, who organises the work and was their assessor, gave them a wonderful letter of thanks.

Well done to the boys.
